It is
a busy week for
Jumeirah, the fast growing Dubai-based
luxury international hospitality management group and a member of Dubai
Holding, as it reaps prestigious awards both in Europe and the Americas.

For the third year in a row, readers of one of
Germany’s leading business travel magazines, Business Traveller, chose
Jumeirah Beach Hotel as the ‘Best Hotel in the Middle East’. Jumeirah
hotels are a clear favourite of German business travellers visiting the
Middle East, with previous editions of the award |

being presented to Burj
Al Arab (2004) and Jumeirah Emirates Towers (2003, 2002).
The continuous success of its various hotels in the Gulf region is also
raising the awareness of the Jumeirah Group amongst German business
travellers who, for the first time, have voted Jumeirah Group as the
‘Best Middle Eastern Hotel Chain’.
The two Business Traveller/ Germany awards were handed out during a
ceremony held yesterday in Frankfurt (Germany).
What’s more, Jumeirah was voted Best Hotel Chain in the Middle East for
the second consecutive year by the American magazine Global Traveler (GT).
Incidentally, the GT Tested Awards ceremony was held in another Jumeirah
property - Jumeirah Essex House in New York City.
GT is a highly regarded American business travel publication focusing on
the interests of today’s executive travellers. Over 15 000 readers of
the magazine have participated in the 2008 edition of the GT Tested
Awards survey, handpicking the best in business and luxury travel.
“It is a great honour to receive these awards from
our American and German guests,” said Gerald Lawless, Executive Chairman
of the Jumeirah Group. “Business travellers and travel industry
professionals are increasingly aware of the distinctiveness of Jumeirah
hotels, not only in the Middle East but also in other major
international business centres, such as London where we operate the
Jumeirah Carlton Tower and Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel, Jumeirah Essex House
in New York, or Jumeirah Han Tang Xintiandi, which will soon open in
Shanghai.”
